A White Paper On “Cannot Delete File: Cannot Read From The Source File Or Disk”
Windows XP can leave you pulling your hear out trying to delete that undeletable file or folder, search the web high and low, no solution for the dreaded “Cannot delete file: Cannot read from the source file or disk” error could be found………..Until now
Recently I had a program cause a problem with; well I’m not sure exactly what. But it created a file folder that absolutely could not be deleted no matter what I tried. I tried to rename it, to move it, to delete it, from safe mode, from administrator safe mode, nothing worked
I spent hours and hours searching the web trying to find a solution. What I found on the net darkened my hopes of ever getting rid of this folder short of a format and reload of windows.
Not one to give up very easily at all, I starting thinking of ways one might delete files nothing seemed to be of much help until I found out that I could move the file if it was on the same drive, inside its parent folder. Now if the file or folder you need to delete is in your root system folder or on any other partition then your system or root partition, then this fix probably won’t work for you. To make it a bit clearer, the file or folder you want to delete must be on the system drive partition, but not in the root of that drive or partition. The reasons why will soon become apparent. Also you must have administrator rights to perform this fix
Ok, what ever folder the target file or folder is in; empty it out, saving all other files to another folder that can be renamed later. Now that you have just the target file or folder inside its parent folder, you can rename the parent folder to what ever you want. I used “Delete Me” just so I didn’t make any mistakes.
Now restart windows and boot into safe mode. If you are not sure how to boot into safe mode, a rule of thumb is to restart the system and tap the F8 key as soon as the boot sequence begins, usually until you hear system beeps that signal keyboard errors. By this time the system is booting into safe mode.
When you see the login screen, log in as administrator, the system will continue to boot, usually there will be a message advising you that you are booting into safe mode and asking if you want to continue. Windows XP safe mode desktop is black, so don’t worry if you have never been here before, everything is going fine.
Now that you are logged on as the administrator in safe mode follow these steps
1. Open control panel from the start menu
2. Select USER ACCOUNTS from the control panel menu icons
3. Select Create New account from the list of tasks
4. In the new task windows, give the account a two or three letter name, not any real user name. and click the next button
5. Select the LIMITED account feature by selecting the little radio button at the top, and click the create account button at the bottom
6. Close all program windows and restart windows
7. When windows boots you will see the new user id, log in on the new user account that you just created
8. You may get some funny flags and request when you log in , but they are not to worry, let the system finish logging you in and when all activity has finished, restart windows again in safe mode

A Trip Down Memory Lane – Sony Walkman To Apple iPod
There may be some of you reading this, that can remember something called a Sony Walkman. Now if you are not old enough, just ask your parents or even an older brother or sister. What you will see is this kind of smile come over their faces. Boy, does time fly and technology goes even faster.
You see, if you lived back in the 1980’s, the Sony Walkman was the coolest thing on the planet. Now if you did live back then, you probably owned one of these. This product was the rave. This product was everywhere, in the airports, the malls, on buses, everywhere. You would see the kids in the back seat of the family car, listening to their own thing, using the Sony Walkman. Their parents would be listening to something else (Dean Martin or Perry Como), which the kids hated.
A phenomenon is a term that implies that something is here today and then gone tomorrow. The Walkman was beyond a phenomenon, it was a mainstay. It was a staple of the society in which it was introduced. If there was a time capsule created to represent the 1980’s, the Walkman would have to be included. If you were to not include it, would be the same thing as discussing technology of the 21st century and leaving out the part about the internet.
Now for the next generation of personal entertainment devices, from the Walkman to the iPod. I am not sure how you could avoid not knowing about the Apple iPod, unless you happen to be living in that time capsule we talked about earlier. So, you have seen them, they are everywhere (sound familiar?). If you ask 10 people to explain what an iPod is, you’ll likely receive 10 different answers; and all of them will likely contain some element of fact and logic. Introduced by Apple Computers in 2001, the iPod is technically defined as a portable music player; and even this doesn’t do it justice. Today it is so much more.
Now the Walkman was really for the kids, that is who mainly used it. Not today and the iPod. It is not just for kids anymore. You see more than just kids walking around with these little white wires sticking out of there ears.
The Apple iPod is a truly amazing product. It has crossed the demographic consumer lines. You see people of all ages wearing these things: from the teachers, the kids (big and small) to the senior citizens, the athletes who manage to keep the ear buds in place despite doing whatever there sport happens to be.

A Ton Of PSP Accessories
Your child has finally earned enough money to purchase their own PSP system—you know he has wanted it for a long time, but you could not justify in your mind another gaming system in the house. The technology keeps changing faster than you can afford to buy the systems and games that they want. You finally put your foot down and told him he could have it if he earned enough money to buy it.
Well, you thought that your worries were over when you told him that he had to buy the system himself, but you forgot one important thing that he did not. He did buy system, but you did not tell him that he had to buy his own games and accessories. Children are smart today and will use any technicality they can to their best advantage.
Okay, you were a sucker, but such is life. How much could a few PSP accessories cost? Well, you could be surprised because there are more than a few accessories available. So where do you start? To begin with, make a decision on how many are needed-you could go to the poor house if you let your child decided on which accessories he needs. Remember, there is a big different between ‘needs’ and ‘wants’- but children do not quite get this concept.
PSP accessories are any additional items that are compatible with the PSP. It can include many different types and styles for each of the following:
* headphones,
* speakers,
* carrying cases,
* hand straps and neck lanyards,
* skins, sticker decals,
* memory sticks, carrying cases for UMD, and
* faceplates
Then there is the glare shield, optional lens cleaner, UMD disk cleaner, memory card reader, backup battery, hand grips, AC adapter, cables, battery chargers and the list goes on and on and on. And, you can literally spend hundreds of dollars for these different accessories.

A Surprise Source Of Antioxidants
We all know that our diet has the amazing ability to make us really healthy or make us really sick. It’s no secret that medical researchers have linked poor diet to everything from obesity and heart disease to all forms of cancer. Those interested in adopting a healthier lifestyle understand the need to adopt a healthier diet. A diet focused on whole, natural foods does much in the way of delivering the body with the appropriate nutrients, as well an important source of antioxidants.
Antioxidants work on behalf of the body’s cells to fight off free radicals – unstable molecules in the body that wage attacks on healthy neighbors. Arming our body with appropriate levels of antioxidants is tantamount to providing weapons to an army. When you understand how antioxidants can protect the body from many forms of illness and disease – and even slow the aging process – you begin to realize how important it is to provide your body a consistent source of antioxidants.
Medical professionals agree that particular fruits and vegetables provide a significant source of antioxidants. So increasing your intake of these essential foods will go a long way to providing your body with important resources. But there is another source of antioxidants of which many may not be aware – red wine.
Obviously red wine has many benefits including its delicious taste and happy-inducing properties. But it is also considered a very significant source of antioxidants. Red wine – as we all know – is made from grapes. The skins of these grapes contain powerful antioxidants that have been shown to have positive effects on everything from heart disease to cancer.
