It is very important to take the protection against online information larceny, because it’s getting very easy for people to share digital products. Information theft is a type of computer safety and security risk and it’s defined as thieving someones private or confidential information. Its very dangerous to get the information stolen as this can cause as much damage, or possibly more then hardware or software theft.

Most of the systems on the way of your data can see what you send. A lot of companies try to stop information from being stolen by applying some user identification and authentication controls.
These constrictions are most promising for protecting computers along a company’s premise. However, to protect information on the Internet and on networks, companies use a handful of encryption methods like digital certificates and SSL security. SSL is an industry standard and is used by millions of websites in the protection of their online transactions with their customers. Encryption refers to the process of converting data into an unreadable form. Encrypted data is like any other data because you can send it through a lot of options, but to read it you must decrypt or decipher it into a more readable form with the help of public and private keys provided. Throughout the encryption process, the unencrypted data or input is known as plaintext and the encrypted data, or output is known as cipher text. To be able to create an SSL connection a web server requires an SSL Certificate. When you choose to activate SSL on your web server you will be prompted to complete a number of questions about the identity of your website and your company. Your web server then creates two cryptographic keys – a Private Key and a Public Key. To encrypt information, the programmer converts the plaintext into cipher text using some type of encryption key. An encryption key is the programmed formula that the person who receives the data uses to decrypt the cipher text. There are varieties of encryption or algorithm methods. However, with an encryption key formula, you will be using more then one of these techniques.

Most common example is a nasty individual stealing credit cards so they can make illegal purchases on another person’s account. If information is transmitted over a network then it has a very high chance for nasty users to capture the information.

A digital signature is a type of encrypted code that an individual, website, or company pastes to an electronic document to make sure that the individual is who they claim to be. The code will most likely consist of the user name and a hash of usually part of the message. The complexities of the SSL protocol remain invisible to your customers. Instead, their browsers provide them with a key indicator to let them know they are currently protected by an SSL encrypted session – the lock icon in the lower right-hand corner, clicking on the lock icon displays your SSL Certificate and the details about it. All SSL Certificates are issued to either companies or legally accountable individuals. The main purpose behind using digital signatures is to make sure that it’s not a swindler participating in the transaction. So, digital signatures help narrow down e-mail frauds. A digital signature can also make sure that contents of a message have not been changed.

Typically, an SSL Certificate will contain your domain name, your company name, your address, your city, your state and your country. It will also contain the expiration date of the Certificate and details of the Certification Authority responsible for the issuance of the Certificate. When a browser connects to a secure site it will retrieve the site’s SSL Certificate and check that it has not expired, it has been issued by a Certification Authority the browser trusts, and that it is being used by the website for which it has been issued.

Many ecommerce websites will usually have digital certificates. A certificate authority (CA) is an authorized company or individual for that matter that has the ability to issue and verify digital certificates. There are several of websites that offer a digital certificate. One of the popular Global Certification authorities is MindGenies (www.sslgenie.com).

Cisco Certification: Taking Your First Certification Exam

Youve studied hard youve practiced your configurations youve used your flash cards over and over again and finally, the big day is here. Your first certification exam!

For many Cisco certification candidates, their first exam is the CCNA Composite exam or one of the two exams that make up the CCNA, the Introduction To Networking exam or the ICND (Interconnecting Cisco Networking Devices) exam.

Walking into a testing center for the first time can be a nerve-wracking experience. Youve got enough on your mind just keeping all that new information straight without worrying about what the testing experience will be like.

Youre not there to take the exam. Youre there to pass the exam. With this aggressive attitude in mind, lets take a look at what you should expect (and not expect) when taking your first Cisco certification exam.

Be Early and Bring Your ID.

If the testing center is not in a part of town that you drive to in the morning, and youve got a 9 AM exam, you may find the traffic is much heavier that time of morning than you expected. Driving up to the testing center 10 minutes late is not a good way to get started. If youve never been to the center before, check their website for directions, or call them for directions. If at all possible, drive to the center the night before your exam.

Make sure to bring your wallet or purse. You cannot take the exam without proper identification. Youll probably be asked for two forms of ID, one of which must be a picture ID.

Test Your Marker & Dry Erase Board

The testing center will give you a dry erase board and a marker. Make sure that the marker has a fine point when youre answering subnetting questions or performing a hexadecimal-to-binary conversion, that will come in handy.

Cisco policy states that you are no longer allowed to use paper during the exams.

The Testing Room

Despite the best efforts of VUE and Prometric, some testing center rooms are afterthoughts. I strongly advise that if youre taking your exam at a technical school, ask to see the testing room BEFORE you sign up for the exam. If it looks like a converted broom closet, it probably is. Those rooms also tend to be right next to classrooms, which can result in distracting noise during your exam.

If your testing center specializes in giving computer-based exams rather than classes, youre probably in good shape. Again, feel free to drop by the testing center before your exam to take a peek at the testing room. Most testing rooms have a window that employees use to keep an eye on testers, and you should be able to take a peek through the window.

When you go in, youll be asked to enter your social security number as your testing ID. Once you do that, the exam engine starts running. However, this doesnt mean the test starts.

The Survey

When you take a Cisco exam, youll first be presented with a survey. The survey consists of 10 20 questions asking about your background, preparation methods, and comfort level with different technologies. This is a good time to catch your breath before starting the exam. The survey will only take about five minutes, and this time does not count against your exam time.

Pay Attention To The Exam Tutorials

Youll then be presented with an exam tutorial, showing you how to answer the different types of questions Cisco may ask. While most of these questions types are common sense (multiple choice, single answer, fill-in-the-blank), I strongly urge you to pay special attention to the router simulator question tutorial.

The simulator questions carry more weight than the other questions indeed, its almost impossible to pass the CCNA exams if you totally miss the simulator questions. While the interface for these exams is intuitive, sometimes students who fail their exam complain that they were not given enough information to answer the question. The real problem is that they didnt look in the right place for that information. Its not hidden, but spend a few minutes with the tutorial and do not go forward until youre comfortable with the simulator interface.

The Exam Itself

Finally, the exam starts! Remember, youre not being asked anything you dont know. If you have prepared correctly with the right tools, youll have a passing grade on your screen before you know it.

Speaking of that grade, youll be presented with it about five seconds after you answer the final question. Cisco exams no longer allow CCNA and CCNP candidates to go back once a question is answered, so be prepared for that.

Knowing what to expect when you go into the testing room for the first time will magnify your chances of success. Work hard (and smart!) while studying, achieve a combination of theoretical knowledge and hands-on work with real Cisco routers, and you are on your way to exam success!

Does this shock you? It did me at first, but now I subscribe to this motto and let go of all paper and information that doesn’t serve me. It’s my new mantra. If the information is important I make sure it gets filed–either in paper files or on my computer. More and more I don’t use paper files and have learned how to make new folders of important people or specific information I need to keep track of.

If you are a stacker, slinger, or stuffer, you can now expand your power by keeping only what is important to you.

How to File these Important Pieces

If in a paper file organize them alphabetically and vertically and put a complete name at the top of the manila file folder. Categorize the kinds of files too: one for household information, another for the teleclasses and speaking engagements, another for coaching clients, and another for promotion Online and off.

In a computer word folder organize information alphabetically too. “My documents” includes these and many more, but with this technique you will always know where to find the important information because it’s organized and categorized in folders Examples include: articles to submit, contacts influential, ClickBank, promotion campaigns by month and of course folders for books in word and PDF. These folders are the lifeblood of any business.

Make sure you keep only information that supports your best life. With that 20% make sure you file it so you can find it in less than two minutes!

For years now, we have learned to develop our business using computers and advanced technologies. Even though computers have turned out to be an immense help, they have also contributed to data insecurity and difficult protection for information that is vital. The last affirmation was especially valid for those of us who are regular enterprise users, those who need the Internet to transmit information, while taking advantage of advanced PC or laptop backup.

Using a computer on a regular basis has taught us that such technologies need to be taken care of. This is why we have programs that improve the functionality of our computers, while adding security and virus protection. Backing up a computer or a laptop is no longer a new concept; on the contrary, every day more and more people are becoming interested in laptop backup solutions. There are also millions of people (including enterprise users) who have not discovered yet the advantage of enterprise laptop backup; they suffer each day from loss of valuable data and they should be informed about the existence of such innovative solutions.

As the Internet is a pretty good resource for information, producers of PC backup solutions have started to present their products online. They have mentioned all the features that make their products so attractive and useful to the general public and enterprise users as well, including the statement that data protection is not just a dream for the future. Laptop backup is something everyone should be interested in, including those who run just a small business to large enterprises needing protection for terabytes of data. The characteristics of such products are presented online in detail, making people understand the need for them.

Mobile and remote-office users along with enterprise users have been searching for data protection solutions for years. Today, technology has reached to a point where files can be synchronized and sent to a central server for protection. Compressed and encrypted, they can be reached at any moment and put to good use, the central server storing the good version of files and allowing you to benefit from remote web access.

Wanting to take the modern generation of laptop backup solutions even further, specialists have promised to introduce continuous data protection (CDP) facilities, innovative encryption and even full support for mobile devices, especially personal organizers. The enterprise laptop backup products are now serving a wide segment of the market, promising to gain even more popularity than it all ready gained, as the need for data protection appears more often.

The concept of data protection has always been linked with the one of data recovery. This is one of the main reasons why laptop backup products include both these two features as basic foundation. The same specialists are constantly working to develop even more advanced enterprise laptop backup, wanting to reach an even wider segment of the market. Probably one of the most attractive things about backup solutions is that they can be implemented for both PC and laptop. You are given constant sync of the data you have sent to the central server, feeling indeed the advantages of this groundbreaking technology. Without a doubt, both laptop enterprise users and PC office exploiters are taking delight in these backup products presented online, being particularly interested in the open-file/locked-file support for MS Outlook.

What Is The Best Baby Crib To Buy?

Should it be cheap? Should it be elegant? Big? Small? Answer those questions by reading more.

Buying a baby crib can be an expensive purchase. What follows is guide to help you find the best baby crib as well as a review of some of the most popular, quality brands.

Safety is paramount when choosing a baby crib. The best baby cribs will have Juvenile Product Manufacturers Association (JPMA) certification. This certification ensures that it meets and surpasses many US safety regulations. So, only looking at brands with a JPMA certification is a good place to start. Brands like Munire, Bellini and Bassett cribs as well as others have JPMA certification.

A good baby crib will come with features to make using it easy. If you are looking for a conventional drop side model, you should first decide if you require double drop sides. Whilst this isn’t really a determining factor on quality, there’s no point in buying a baby crib that doesn’t have the features you want. The Delta Luv 3-in-1 Jenny Lind is an excellent double drop side and it’s cheap. Incidentally, the Pali crib was the first to have a “one-hand” drop side feature with no exposed hardware – this company makes some of best baby cribs.

A convertible crib can be a best buy. These are more expensive than their traditional counterparts but you child will get longer use out of them. There are two types: 3-in-1 and lifetime. A 3-in-1 converts from crib to toddler bed to day bed – many also have storage drawers. A lifetime does this but will also serve as a full size bed. When buying either type, make sure that converting them is easy. Look for brands that don’t require you to use a ‘special’ tool – you’re almost certainly going to lose it before you need to use it. Pali Forever cribs are lifetime types and are an excellent product – the Carmen being a popular design.

Look for quality of materials and construction when deciding on the best baby crib to buy. A good one is made from solid wood – usually pine, beech or birch. Some brands further employ veneers for certain finishes. Also, the best have hidden hardware – moving metal parts, nuts and bolts etc. Munire and Basset cribs are some of the most beautiful, using lovely veneers and finishes.

Any well made crib will carry some sort of warranty. The industry norm is a 1 year limited warranty with some companies offering a longer period. Before you buy, ask about spare parts. Does the manufacturer provide them in case they should break? If not, this is a sign of a lack of commitment to customer care, so don’t buy their products.

Finally, we talk about design. This is a very subjective matter. Some parents will prefer simplistic designs from the past like the Jenny Lind crib, while other prefer modern simple designs like the Bellini Isabella crib. The current collection of Basset cribs draw heavily on traditional American styles like Shaker, New England etc. If it’s old fashioned opulence you want then checkout Munire’s collection of divine baby cribs.

There’s no such thing as the best baby crib. There are very well made, well designed models, some of which have been mentioned above. The best baby crib is the one that best suits your needs; once you’re sure of what these are, you’ll be able to make the right decision on your purchase.

Nevertheless, MCSE is a training course of sorts that is designed to teach individuals who want to learn how to handle various aspects of Microsoft skills. The goal is to have a group of people who are knowledgeable in the areas that Microsoft is specific. Lets explain.

Microsoft developed this type of training to allow individuals to get a specific training course, or several in various types of skills that pertain to Microsoft. The thing about this training is that it is specific to Microsoft. While you may learn to install a program in another course which would teach a broad range of information about all ways in which to do so, in the MSCE, you will learn strictly how it is done through Microsoft.

So, How Does MSCE Work?

In most cases, the training can be done in several ways. Students can take classes through certified teachers in school or they can study on their own. Some individuals feel that they have enough experience in the various uses of Microsoft to be able to take the test without taking a training class. The test is given at specific areas at specific times. In order to be considered, you must pay a fee of about $125 for each of the tests and certifications that you plan to take. The tests range in knowledge levels and in most cases, it is wise to take the training courses for MSCE prior to taking the test as it can be quite challenging.

You will find more information about MSCE throughout the web.

Once you’ve got your CCNA, you’re ready to move on to the next level, the Professional certifications. For years, Cisco had one Professional certification, the Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) certification. Over time, Cisco has expanded this level of certifications to include the Cisco Certified Security Professional (CCSP) and Cisco Certified Voice Professional (CCVP).

With security and voice being the two most rapidly expanding areas of today’s networks, some new CCNAs consider going after the CCSP or CCVP without first adding the CCNP to their resume.

While it’s temping to hurry up and get a Cisco security or voice certification, the best thing you can do for your networking career is achieve your CCNP certification first, then decide on the CCVP or CCSP.

Why? Because the CCNA is just the tip of a very large iceberg when it comes to routing and switching. It’s a very important accomplishment, and the CCNA is indeed the foundation of your networking career, but you need to add on to that level of understanding routing and switching before moving on to more specialized areas.

Two examples are OSPF and BGP. You learn about the theory of OSPF and some basic and intermediate configurations of that protocol in your CCNA studies, but the knowledge you acquire of OSPF in your CCNP studies is invaluable. As for BGP, there is no BGP in the CCNA curriculum, but it is a great idea to have some BGP knowledge in today’s networks. It’s also good for your career.

I know it is a huge temptation to go after the security and voice certifications while not paying attention to the CCNP. Do yourself a huge favor and add the tremendous amount of routing and switching knowledge needed for the CCNP to your knowledgebase, and you can then move on to the CCSP or CCVP. Even better, you’ll be better prepared to climb the biggest certification mountain around – the CCIE!

For anyone concerned about what is left on their PC after using the Internet, Webroot Window Washer can set the mind at ease.

Window Washer wipes away all traces of past PC use. It not only removes Internet history, but also previously deleted files that may still have a presence on the hard disk. A quick cycle of Window Washer can:

clear Internet history, address bar and cache

	delete selected cookies

	overwrite deleted files

	shred folders with one-click

provide protection against deleting important files

	schedule washes

clear unused disk space to ensure faster, smoother PC operation

clean applications such as iTunes, Adobe Acrobat, Google Toolbar and Macromedia Flash Player

securely erase whole hard disk

work with Internet Explorer, Mozilla, Firefox, Netscape, and AOL

When using the Internet all sort of information gets left behind: history of sites visited, web addresses typed into the address bar, a cache of each page visited, cookies holding user information, chat logs…the list goes on. Window Washer will safely remove all of these files so no trace of online activity remains. Not only that, all of this information can slow down working, so cleaning the system makes the PC quicker and more efficient.

In trying to eliminate PC activity, it can be very easy to accidentally get rid of some important file the system needs to run properly. Window Washer provides protection against doing this whilst removing any incriminating information.

Likewise, whilst some Internet cookies might be from unsavory sources, others prove invaluable in remembering names and passwords for often visited sites. It’s easy to remove all the cookies in one go, but Window Washer allows selective cookie deletion so only the desired ones remain.

Simply deleting items from the system is not enough to remove them from the hard disk entirely. Free space can actually be full of unused files and bits of deleted files. Window Washer can overwrite this unused data with completely random information, making it worthless to anyone trying to get at it, and clean up these areas for better performance.

Window Washer is also capable of erasing the hard disk completely. Formatting and reinstalling the operating system may not destroy everything contained on the hard disk. Window Washer ensures nothing is left on a PC that might be going to a new owner.

For the most security conscious, it is not even necessary to make an effort to run Window Washer. Once installed, it can be set to wash at specified times, such as when the PC is booted up or shut down, or each time the browser is closed. Window Washer will also clean other applications. Flash Player, Adobe Acrobat, Real Player they all store document histories of what’s been viewed and, sometimes, when it was viewed. Window Washer will empty these histories for a faster running application.

Minimum system requirements for Webroot Window Washer are not high. Even the most basic PC should be able to run it as long as it has:

	Windows 98 SE/2000/Me/XP

	266 MHz CPU

	5 MB hard drive space

	64 MB RAM

Webroot Window Washer is available for download as a free trial. The full version costs $29.95 for a one year upgrade and support subscription.

Buying a CCNA / CCNP home lab is the best way to be totally prepared for your Cisco exams. Most home labs are put together one router or switch at a time, but many CCNA / CCNP candidates prefer to buy kits where you get multiple routers and switches, along with all the cables and other connection devices you’ll need.

While this is a good idea, keep a few things in mind when purchasing Cisco home lab kits.

Don’t buy anything you don’t need. The problem is that when you’re first starting out with your Cisco home lab, you don’t know everything that you need. (I sure didn’t!) Keep in mind that you only need one transceiver per AUI port on a Cisco router, so if you’re getting routers with two AUI ports in all, you don’t need five transceivers in the kit. It doesn’t hurt to have one spare, but three is a little too much.

More importantly, don’t buy kits with old CCNA or CCNP study guides included. I’ve seen kits with books that were three years old and were of no use to the candidate. If you see a kit that looks good but includes books or manuals you just don’t want, ask the vendor for a price that doesn’t include the books. It never hurts to ask.

Watch the IOS version. Unless you’ve got access to IOS upgrades, you’ll be working with the IOS version that’s on the routers and switches when you buy the kit for a while. You don’t necessarily need the latest and greatest IOS version for CCNA study, but don’t buy routers with IOS versions beginning with “10″ unless you have an IOS to upgrade them with. (And make sure the routers have enough memory to handle the IOS you plan on putting on them.)

Purchasing a Cisco CCNA / CCNP Home Lab is one of the best investments in your career that you will ever make. Exercise just a bit of caution when purchasing your kit, and you’ll be on your way to true Cisco success, in the exam room and on your network!

It is not a surprise that a lot of people in our society don’t even know what a Zune is, and there is one answer. Advertisement, Microsoft has done a horrible job of advertising their product. Even commercials, they tried to make the Zune seem so mysterious, but in reality, it just turned people off.

I can understand wanting to hide such a movie like Hancock, or The Happening, something where giving away the plot or story might ruin the whole movie, but there is absolutely no point in not throwing the Zune right in peoples faces so that they aren’t just looking at the iPod.

Thats one reason why the Apple is far ahead of Microsoft’s game. This also applies to Windows and MAC, you never see any advertising on Windows, now do you? Next thing you know, the MAC will be the mainly used computer for all of the United States, something I thought never would happen.

But, lets get down to business. The Zune MP3 Player, is actually a very nice mp3 player when comparing it to the iPod. Of course, any arguments that you here are generally from someone with an iPod, doesn’t know what the Zune is, or even looks like for that matter. Point in case, people believe what other people say way too easily.

Do your research, and if your reading this article, I’ve done it for you. The Zune often gets better ratings than the iPod when it comes to being an mp3 player, unforunately due to the marketing ability of Microsoft to show people the Zune, half of the world doesn’t know what the thing is.

But thats okay, because you do. Now you can make a solid decision on whether you want an iPod or a Zune MP3 Player. One thing that I must point out is that the Zune has several features the the iPod does not have at all.

The downside to that is, when they decided to release these new features, they were not polished at all, thus resulting in failed features or ones that had little or no effect when put into works. So, that means it looks good on paper, but essentially if something doesn’t work, it doesn’t work.

On the other hand, iPod doesn’t have as many features, but in the features that it does have, they are polished up quite well. You won’t find any buggy systems or anything like that with the iPod, and the database, iTunes, where all of the music comes from is just massive.

iTunes is consistently being updated, and made more user-friendly for the computer-illiterate people who don’t know how to drag and drop a song from one folder to another. But that’s okay, you can’t expect much from people nowadays.

There are also a few other points of competition as well. Accessories, that is one huge aspect. If there were absolutely not accessories for one of the two competitors, the Zune or the iPod, the opposing would win. Simply because what good does an iPod do on its own.

You need to be able to plug into your car, plug a charger in at home, on the go, have a dock where you can charge and listen to at the same time, along with your standard company-brand headphones and earphones.

Along with that, an fm transmitter kit, and the list goes on. Basically, all of these accessories make the iPod or Zune reusable and versatile in many situations. Having a travel charger while the other one doesn’t, now allows for you to take your Zune anywhere you want, but the iPod will be dead before the day ends.

That would be a huge difference maker had one of the companies not created the travel charger. You see, the mp3 player itself is already out, and now to make it stand out more than the opposing, you have to make accessories, ones that look nice too. You can’t have ugly accessories and expect people to buy.

This society is full of people who base things on looks, covers of books, people and how attractive they are, thats the first thing they notice. And with so many things to compare in this world, that seems like a viable and easy way to do it. That is where the iPod comes on top, looks. They have made their mp3 player, and their accessories look a little better.

But that’s okay, because for anyone who has gone and done their research knows that the Zune produces better quality sound, and for the price, even though very similar, the Zune is a better deal in the long-run, unless your an Apple fanatic.

The Zune MP3 Player Versus The Leading iPod is a post from: Techno And Science News | Netproxies.info
